Every spring, the town of Lavandou awakens in an explosion of color and joy with the Corso Fleuri, a must-see event that draws thousands of spectators. This annual event takes place in March, marking the celebration of the Sun and Flowers in a vibrant procession along the seafront.
Imagine around fifteen floats majestically adorned with 8,000 to 25,000 fresh flowers, accompanied by majorettes, musicians, brass bands, and troubadours. The spectacle is breathtaking, offering visitors a full immersion into the culture and conviviality of this seaside town.
Corso weekend is packed with activities: flower-arranging workshops, musical strolls, and even creative workshops for children. The highlight, the flowered parade, takes place on Sunday under the theme “The Dancing Sea,” followed by the traditional flower battle and awards for the most beautiful floats.
The Lavandou Corso Fleuri is more than just a celebration; it’s an experience that involves the entire community, a longstanding tradition that fills this charming Côte d’Azur town with pride.
